Vlog: Newberry Volcano National Monument

During our first full day in the Bend, OR area we headed to Newberry Volcano National Monument where there are lots of kid friendly things to do. We obviously enjoy hiking so we found a couple kid friendly hikes. The first is the Big Obsidian Lava Flow Interpretation Trail. It is 1 mile round trip and the kids really enjoyed climbing over all the obsidian rock. Conveniently located across the street, is the road leading to Paulina Lake. After our first hike we hiked around Paulina Lake to some natural hot springs!
